Today we surveyed 24 maori students. 18 maori
students said that they do not celebrate matariki at
their home. Out off 24 maori students only 1 maori
student said they go outside to see the matariki
stars and eat marshmallows.

their friends and family. This shows us that our
festival is dying and not that maori students are
celebrating matariki.
