10,000 years or is still having a eruption.

Dormant volcanoes

An dormant volcano is an volcano that has not
erupted in 10,000 years but is suprizly erupt
soon. It is the sleepy volcano but can wake up
and erupt and go to sleep again.

Extinct volcanoes

An extinct volcano has not had an eruption for at least 10,000 years and is not expected to erupt again in a comparable time scale of the future
